You can now use some rich text in our WhatsApp messages. With a simple combination of symbols, our text will appear bold, italic, strikethrough or a combination of all of them.
Write in bold on WhatsApp
You must place the asterisk symbol before and after the text that you want to appear bold:
*bold* = bold font
Write in cursive on WhatsApp
You must place the underscore symbol before and after the text you want to appear in italics:
_italics_ = italics
Write crossed out on WhatsApp
You must place the tilde symbol before and after the text you want to appear crossed out:
~crossed out~ = strikethrough
Any combination can be used to achieve the desired result, the only thing to keep in mind is that the symbols are nested correctly:
_~*bold, italic and strikethrough text*~_
equals:
bold, italic, and strikethrough text
