In total there are 6 different types of Berries, can be collected manually from plants by pressing Y/Triangle or in large quantities using gathering creatures such as Trikes/Triceratops, Stegosaurus and Parasaurs. At the beginning of the game they will be of great help to us as food and as food to tame herbivores and they are also necessary for recipes for the Pot, Feed, Stimulants, Narcotics, Colors and creating Beer.
–Yellow Amarberries They are used to craft Hot Soup and Spicy Chili in the Pot or Industrial Pot.
-The Red Tintoberrys They are also needed to make Hot Soup and Spicy Chili, but they are also used to make Syrup.
-The blue Azulberrys They are needed for the Spicy Chili, Fria Curry and the Energy Drink.
-The purple Mejoberrys are needed for most Pot, Enduro Stew, Cold Curry, Hot Chili, Hot Soup, Lazarus Soup, Shadow Steak, Battle Cake, Enlightenment Broth, and Brainwash Tonic recipes. They are also a basic ingredient of all feed, so it is important to have a large amount of these Berrys.
These 4 Berrys, Amarberrys, Tintoberrys, Azulberrys and Mejoberrys, if we consume them, provide us with 1.5 food and 0.2 water per unit consumed, but when we feed a creature, the first 3 provide 20 food while the Mejoberrys provide 30, which is why it is the Best Berry to tame herbivores until you can make Feed.
-The white Stimberrys, like the previous ones, they give us 1.5 food, but they also give us 10 points of unconsciousness, so they are vital when we face enemies that can leave us unconscious such as Pulminiscorpius, Beelzebufos or Titanoboas, it is important to never feed them when we are domesticating a herbivore. Another important detail is that its consumption takes away 10 water points, these berries are necessary to craft Stimulants in the Mortar/Chemistry Table.
-The Narcoberries will be our first source to maintain the unconsciousness of the creatures until we can make Narcotics in the Mortar and they are also necessary to make them.
Since all the Berrys are necessary throughout the game as soon as we can, it is good to get a constant supply of them, giving priority to the Mejoberries for feed and the Narcoberries for Narcotics through orchards.
Meat is our main source of food and will help us tame all the Carnivores. We can get it from the corpses of vertebrates with our fists, a Pickaxe or an Axe, although we get more with the Pickaxe. There are two types, Raw Meat and Raw Fish Meat and two qualities, Normal and Premium.
Raw Meat restores 10 food points but subtracts 5 health points and Carnivores 50 food points and restores 5 health points while Raw Fish Meat only restores 5 food points but subtracts only 1.5 health.
Prime Meats gradually fill our food to a certain point and subtract 5 health pointsIt is not so easy to obtain them, since raw Prime Meat is obtained from large creatures, for example, we can obtain it from the corpses of Spinosaurus, Tyrannosaurus, Brontosaurus, Diplodocus, Paraceratherium, Titanoboas, etc., and raw Fish Meat, from Megalodon, Salmon Teeth. of Sable, Dunkleosteus or Mosasaurs. All offspring of any species produce Prime Meat. Another important detail of these meats is that they last very little, their duration causes them to rot quickly, in the inventories of the creatures they last a little longer.
All Meats, upon consuming their duration, become Rotten Meat that we use to make Narcotics and there are also certain creatures that require Rotten Meat to be tamed. As food, it gives us 3.5 food points but lowers our health by 12.5 points, so it is not good to consume it.
All Meats can be cooked on the Bonfire or Industrial Grill. Raw Meats last a while in our inventory, but Prime Meats, due to their short duration, are good to cook if we see that we are not going to use them in the short period they last. Cooked meats do not lower our health when we consume them, in fact they raise us somewhat but they do not fill the food as much, even so it is much better to consume them cooked. Finally, note that once cooked they can also be dried to greatly increase their duration using the Preservation Drawers and using Oil and Phosphorus.
These 3 resources are among the most common in Ark, we can collect them continuously thanks to our fists and tools and in large quantities once we tame creatures, all 3 are necessary to craft a multitude of objects.
Straw
Straw is a resource that we can obtain by hitting trees and trunks with the Pickaxe. It has many uses since it is necessary to craft 152 objects, it can be used as fuel for the Pot, the Bonfire, the Forge and the Standing Torches although its duration is much lower than that of Wood, for example in the Bonfire they are 7.5 seconds per unit of Straw. It is also used to create Fertilizers in Compost boxes and to create Beer in Barrels. It is a resource of which you must always have large quantities. Best gathering creatures, Ankylosaurus, Brontosaurus, Megaloceros.
Wood
We get Wood by hitting trees with our fists or a tool, but always better with the Axe, just as Straw serves as fuel but with longer duration. This resource is used to craft about 240 objects, Structures, Gardens, Mounts, Crafting Stations, Weapons, Tools etc. so it is essential to have large quantities of Wood.
It is possible to find large amounts of Wood in Giant Beaver/Castororides Dams. Best gathering creatures, Mammoth and Castoroides.
Fiber
We collect Fiber from the plants with our hands or with the Sickle in greater quantities, like the previous two, it is a resource that we use continuously so it is also necessary to have large quantities. It is necessary to craft 315 items and all Feed contains Fiber. Best Gathering Creatures, Gigantophitecus and Direbear/Arctodus
These 2 are other of the most abundant and necessary resources in Ark.
Stone
We can pick up small stones from the ground with our hands or hit larger stones with tools, we get more stone by hitting with an axe, it is used to craft 84 objects, stone Structures and Pipes, Crafting Stations, Orchards and important materials such as Phosphorus or Cement. We must take into account with this resource that it is quite heavy, when we want to make a large collection of Stone it is good to take it into account. Best gathering creature Doedicurus.
Flint
Flint is obtained by hitting stones with tools but in greater quantity using a Pickaxe and is necessary to Craft various objects, the creature that collects it best is the Ankylosaurus.
Craftables that require Flint:
-Bonfire, Forge and Pot.
-Mounts, Arthropluera, Manta and Ichthyosaurus.
-Ballista Ammunition.
-Weapons and Tools, Smoke and Poison Grenade, Stone Arrows, Stone Axe, Spears.
-Match, Compass, Fireplace.
-Normal Standing and Wall Torches.
Fur
Skin is a resource that we can collect from the dead bodies of vertebrate creatures, the best tool to get it is the Metal Axe, although we can also use Pickaxes. This resource is used to craft a large number of objects, 175 in total, armor, weapons, mounts, structures, crafting stations, etc., so you must always have a good amount of Skin. It is also important to note that in the forge this resource together with Oil results in Gasoline, a very important fuel when we advance in the game. Best gathering creature Sabertooth/Sabertooth.
Fur
Fur is another resource similar to skin, but that we can only obtain from certain mammals, also the best tool to collect it is the Metal Axe.
Creatures that give Fur:
Dire Bear/Arctodus, Castoroides, Direwolf/Giant Wolf, Mammoth, Megaloceros, Procoptodon and Woolly Rhino/Rinoceronte Nudo. We find many of these creatures in the cold northern areas, whenever we visit this area we must get a good amount of Fur.
Craftables that require Fur:
-Fur Clothing, very important to overcome the cold.
-Insect repellent.
-Bunk beds.
-Procoptodon mount.
Metal
Metal is a very necessary resource once we make a blacksmith, until then we do not need it for practically anything, we can find it in mountains and caves and occasionally in other locations, stones that contain a large amount of metal are quickly recognizable by their yellow color . The tool that provides us with the most amount of this resource is the Metal Pickaxe. Metal tools also give us Metal in normal stones but in an amount that is too low so it is not worth it. Also note that this resource is quite heavy, 1 per unit, so when we go to collect it we must keep in mind that it weighs a lot and we must carry little in the inventory or take advantage of a creature to be able to transport more metal, for example the Ankylosaurus in addition to Being able to carry good weight is a great Metal collector.
Craftables that require Metal:
-Refined Metal.
-Compass.
-Ichthyosaurus mount.
-Wood table.
-Feeder.
Refined Metal
We obtain this resource by placing Metal in the Forge or in the Industrial forge and lighting it by placing wood or other fuel (gasoline is not useful in Forges).
In the forge every 20 seconds we convert 2 units of Metal into Refined Metal, in the Industrial Forge this time drops to 1.3 seconds. This resource is completely indispensable for the vast majority of craftable objects in the Blacksmith and many objects in the Manufacturing Machine/Fabricator, it is necessary to craft 188 objects so we will need large amounts of metal throughout the game. For example, it is necessary for all metal structures, all blacksmithing weapons, all metal tools, ammunition, crafting stations, for armor, all metal pipes and a long etc.
Glass
Crystal is a very necessary resource in ARK since there are a lot of advanced items that require this material. We can find it on mountain peaks and in caves. To collect it it is best to use a Metal Pickaxe.
Craftables that require Crystal:
-Crafting Stations, Chemistry Table, Manufacturing Machine/Maker, Industrial Forge, Industrial Chopper, Industrial Grill.
-Structures, all greenhouse structures.
-Diver Suit, Riot Suit and Gas Mask Shield, Night Vision Goggles.
-Fridge.
-Electric prod.
-Accessories for weapons, Flashlight and Telescopic Sight.
-C4 and Remote Detonator.
-Radio.
-Pitcher of water.
Obsidian
Obsidian is a rare resource and is used to make modern technology. We find this resource in black rocks that we can find in the mountains and in caves. We take more of this resource using the Metal Pickaxe.
It is a basic component to make the Polymers in the Manufacturing Machine/Fabricator, so we are going to have to gather a lot of this resource and it is not easy.
Craftables that require Obsidian:
-Polymer.
-Arthropluera mount.
-Magnifying glass.
-Cannonball, Boleadora with chain and Handcuffs.
Pearls
Pearls can be obtained in areas of the frozen coast of the Northwest, in aquatic caves, in deep areas of rivers or lakes and in the burrows of the Casteorides. We can also get them by killing Trilobites and recently we can also collect them from the corpses of Leeches. They are an essential component to craft the Electronics of the Crafting Machine/Fabricator which in turn are essential to craft a number of items at this Crafting station.
Craftables that require Pearls:
-Electronics.
-Fins and mask of the diving suit.
-Riot Shield and Parts of Riot Armor.
-Platform Frames.
-Plesiosaur, Spinosaurus and Quetzal mounts.
Black Pearls
Black Pearls are a resource that we can obtain by hitting the corpses of a Eurypterid and Alpha Mosasaurs with a metal pickaxe, we can rarely find them when fishing using a fishing rod.
Craftables that require Black Pearls:
-Absorbent Substrate.
-Broth of Enlightenment or Broth of Enlightenment.
Chitin and Keratin are sometimes used as the same resource, this means that there are Engrams in which we see that it says Chitin/Keratin as if they were the same resource, but they have engrams that can only be made with one of these 2 resources. . These resources are essential to make Cement in the Mortar or Chemistry Table.
Chitin, which is a flexible exoskeleton material, can be obtained by using a Metal Ax on the following creatures.
Araneo, Dung Beetle/Dung Beetle, Dunkleostus, Meganeura, Pulminoscorpius, Tytanomyrna, Trilobite and Leech.
Keratin, on the other hand, can be found in animal horns, shells, shells and crests. We can collect it from the following creatures using a Metal Axe.
Allosaurus, Ankylosaurus, Carnotaurus, Carbonemys/Tortoise, Doedicurus, Mammoth, Megaloceros, Pachy, Sabertooth/Sabertooth, Stegosaurus, Trike/Triceratops, Wooly Rhino/Woolly Rhinoceros.
Craftables that use Chitin/Keratin:
-Cement.
-Araneo, Argentavis, Kaprosuchus, Pelagornis and Pteranodon mounts.
-Parts of the Diver suit.
-Muffler.
Craftables that use only Chitin:
-All parts of the Qutina Armor.
**Keratin alone is only required to Craft an item in Primitive Plus.
Angler Gel/Angler Gel
Angler Gel is a resource that we can obtain by killing Anglers, fish that we can find in the depths of the sea. Angler Gel works great as fuel, having much more performance than wood or straw. We can place it in Bonfires, Standing Torches, Pots, Forges etc.
Craftables that require Angler Gel:
-Electric prod.
-Night vision glasses.
Organic Polymer
Organic Polymer is a resource that we get exclusively from the Kairukus, hitting their corpses with the Club or a Sword is the way to get the greatest amount of this resource.
Craftables that require Organic Polymer:
-All parts of the camouflage suit.
These trophies prove our worth as a hunter, we each get them by searching the corpses of creatures we kill.
1-Argentavis Claw.
2-Megalodon Tooth.
3-Sauropod Vertebra.
4-Tyrannosaurus arm.
The Sauropod Vertebra is found in the bodies of Brontosaurus or Diplodocus, the others in each of the indicated animals. These first 4 are used to access the portals of the 3 towers, apart from the Artifacts in each of the portals to access the battle with the bosses, they will ask us for certain quantities of these 4 items, so let's hunt these creatures when we want to face the bosses.
5-Wolly Rhino/Woolly Rhino Horn.
Rare Mushrooms
Rare Mushrooms are a difficult resource to get, they can give us some when we collect from plants and trees, they are more likely to give us in swampy areas, they sometimes give us some when we are collecting Crystal. The best place to find rare mushrooms is the homes of the Casteroides. We can consume them as food to recover 25 food points, a little more than Cooked Meat. This resource is used to make 4 very specific objects and is also used to tame Procoptodon.
Craftables that require Rare Mushrooms:
-Minor Antidote.
-Brainwashing tonic.
-Re-Fertilizer.
-Shadow Steak.
Rare Flower
Rare Flowers are also a difficult resource to obtain even more than mushrooms, they can be obtained on rare occasions in normal plants when collecting by hand and with a little more possibility with animals that collect Berrys and Fiber from plants, such as Trikes /Triceratops, Stegosaurus or Mammuths. There are more chances of finding them by collecting on the red plants near the mountains, in some northern bushes and in shallow waters in the swamps, we can also find them in the Giant Beaver/Castoroides Dams. They are the best food for taming Lystrosaurus and are used to make 5 items.
Craftables that require Rare Flowers:
-Minor Antidote.
-Battle Cake.
-Brain Washing Tonic.
-Re-Fertilizer.
-Antidote.
-I feed with Diplodocus Egg.
Sap
We can only obtain this new resource in the red forest, the marked area on the map. In this area we will find trees that are taller than usual and have a reddish-brown trunk.
In order to get Sap we need 2 new Engrams, “Wooden Tree Platform” (costs 28 XP) and “Tree Sap Tap” (costs 18 XP). The Gryphons are placed at a respectable height from the trunk, in the middle section or in the high section, that is why we also need the tree platforms to be able to collect the sap from the gryphons. We can put several taps on the same trunk to generate more of this resource. Once we have everything we just have to come every so often to collect it.
