He iPhone 8 represents the latest in technology applied to mobile telephony by Manzana beyond the also novel iPhone X, smartphones that share a good part of their hardware and many of their functions based on the latest version of iOS. Although if we are unlucky enough that our iPhone is blocked, we can always resort to the traditional way to restart the terminal; although it may not always be the best solution.
On models prior to iPhone 8 we had to keep the on/off button and the home button pressed for a few seconds to force it to restart. Now, on the iPhone 8 (and iPhone X) we must follow the following method:
- Press and release the volume increase button on the side.
- Press and release the volume down button on the side.
- Press and hold the power button until the Apple logo appears on the screen.
If by following these instructions our iPhone 8 does not unlock, then we must follow these new steps to start Recovery mode:
- Connect your iPhone via USB cable to a PC or Mac with iTunes installed.
- Follow the previous steps but now holding the on and off button even after the Apple logo appears.
- The Connect to iTunes message appears.
- Stop pressing the power button and enter iTunes.
- iTunes will inform us that there is an error with our iPhone. At this time we can update or restore the terminal to solve the problem.
Although it is a somewhat longer method than the standard, we do make sure to unlock our iPhone 8 in case it freezes. We hope you never have to resort to these solutions!
