Because we all have one box, hangers or even a flowerpot which we don't know what to do with but we feel sorry to throw it away in case it is ever needed. Well with the tricks from today we will transform old objects into totally useful things that will help us improve the day-to-day life of our home.

Many of these objects can be easily found around the house, but we are going to leave you a list so you can see which ones would be necessary in this case:

  • old chair
  • chair legs
  • Wooden box
  • old drawer

With all these materials that we surely have at home we are going to get exquisite furniture and decoration, and most importantly without spending a lot of money. Anything that can be recycled and saved is welcome.

Original pot rack.

If you ever break a chair, don't throw it away, it can be very useful for your garden and can give a super vintage touch to the decoration. How to transform your old chair into a flower pot?

Step 1.

The first thing we have to do is cut the legs of the chair, once that is done we have to sand it until it is free of varnish or color, once it is sanded and it does not have any type of surface that we do not like, we are going to clean it with a damp cloth . The latter will help us remove all the sawdust shavings that remain on the chair.

By the way, don't throw away the chair legs because they will be very useful.

Step 2.

Now we will paint it the color that we like the most, whether white or blue, taking into account what the decoration of our garden is like. You must also take into account whether it is necessary to apply one or two coats of paint and whether it will be exposed to rain to choose one type of paint or another.

Step 3.

Once painted and retouched, we are going to put two eyebolts in the back at the same height and at each end of the chair. This will keep it attached to the wall when we have the hooks in place. Once hung, we now have our shelf for pots and we can put hanging plants or pretty flowers.

If we have flowers we will surely have bees, in this link We leave you a trick to eliminate them.

This way we will always have a good use for the old chairs that only take up space.

Recycled 100% nightstand

For this craft we will only need one wooden fruit box and the chair legs previously cut. With it we will get a very practical nightstand for all those nighttime book readers.

Step 1.

We take the legs of the chair that we have left over from the previous craft and we cut it until it is less than half the height we had before, if the chair was not very high you will only have to cut a little. Once cut, we sand and paint to taste.

Step 2.

We take the wooden fruit box that we have found in any supermarket or that we have at home and we also sand it to remove imperfections, once sanded we clean it and give it a layer of acrylic and varnish.

Step 3.

Once the box has been varnished, we are going to screw the legs to the bottom, leaving the empty space facing outward. The best thing you can do is screw the legs to each corner so that the screw is not visible or take small screws that will hold.

With that we would have our super nightstand with space for books included. In addition, the handle of the wooden box can be used to pass the cable of the night lamp so that it is not so visible.

And after finishing we can rest with our great nightstand.

Drawer shelf for books.

If you have some furniture at home that you are going to throw away and it has drawers, don't get rid of them, recycling, in addition to being good, will help you have totally unique furniture made by you that adds a plus. Plus, this one is very easy to do and it won't take us even half an hour to finish.

Materials

  1. old drawer
  2. Wooden strip (width to taste)
  3. fine sandpaper
  4. Bucket, roller and round brush
  5. Acrylics
  6. Masking tape
  7. Two small screws, two eyebolts and two eyebolts

Once we know which drawer is going to be reused, we will prepare to sand its surface. We will do this to eliminate imperfections, the enamel or the color of the drawer. Once everything has been completely sanded, we wipe it with a damp cloth to remove any remaining dust.

Once the dust has been removed, we begin to paint the drawer to each person's taste. You can use one color for the inside, another for the edge and another for the outside. If you are going to do it that way, I recommend using the tape. of bodybuilder so that the colors are not contaminated. We paint the interior with the roller to take less time and the details with the brush, it will help you not to miss out.

Now we take the ribbon, 2cm wide is recommended if you are going to cut it, we also measure the inside of the drawer to know what length we are going to cut it to. If you don't have the saw, don't worry, with the measurements taken you can take it to a carpenter and they will do it for you. Once cut, we paint the ribbon to taste.

The last thing we will have to do when it is dry is to fit it about 15 centimeters from the bottom and screw it on both sides so that it holds correctly and as strongly as possible. You can fix it to the wall in several ways, but the most recommended is to put two eyebolts on the back and fix them to the wall with hooks. And so we will have our great shelving!

We leave you with a video demonstration.
